The Harrah's Cherokee "luxury" is no better than your average Hampton Inn basic room, small and not all that well layed-out. In fact, it was a huge disappointment at the $228 rate we paid for Thursday night's stay. The Not so Good: We paid $569 for Friday night's stay in the Creek Luxury Room and it was a huge disappointment. The live band that played at the Myst Bar on Thurs & Fri nights was also excellent and gave us something to do on both nights, as neither of us were inspired to gamble by the Resort or Casino's "vibe" which was more "Cruise Ship" than "Hip" noting we're both active, healthy mid-60 year olds who were at Harrah's to celebrate our anniversary: it there had been enough floor space, we'd have been dancing to the band's great playlists. not so much, but their lack of attention is what caused us to have a great experience at the Wicked Weed. First the good: The staff from the front desk at check-in, to the concierge / Custom Service Associate who assisted us with getting "registered" as Reward Club members, to the bar staff at the Wicked Weed, the Pool Bar and the Thursday late afternoon & evening bar staff at the Myst Bar and even the gal who was working the register at the Food Court late on Thurs & Fri Night. Staff = 5 Stars, Location = 5 Stars, Room = 1 Star (poor value) and hotel cleanliness is also lacking in several areas.
